| Welcome to my film vault.
This site is dedicated to the multiplayer WWII action
simulation, Fighter Ace. I've posted films of my attacks on
various bombers from several different fighters available.
I mostly fly the Yak-3 against bombers. The main reason for
this over other more capable planes is that I am most
familiar with its handling and overall performance. It has
a smaller head-on silhouette than all but the Bf-109s;
making it a harder target for the gunners. It also has a
quick roll and turn rate; essential in evading bomber
firepower (although not always successful). I've downed over 140 bombers with my Yak-3 (spanning 2 Fighter Ace IDs). These kills were in the Realistic arena. I also made kills using other fighters as you can see from the various screen shots. Most of the updates to this site will be in this area. I also included films saved from various duels and "furballs" I recorded. I hope that you will be to recognize some of the maneuvers that were used and guage how successful (or unsuccessful) they were. I recommend viewing these films at least twice. The first time just as recorded. Then try the other views such as the F9 (best for viewing various manuevers). Try using the film controls to control the action and a mouse, trackball or cursor keys to change perspective of the battles. F7 will also give a nice view, but be warned of the disorientation that may result due to the backround motion. Experiment to find what gives you the most information or best view of the action. I mostly fly in the Advanced Realistic arena with my tags turned off; as seen in the films. If you study these films, you can probably defeat me every time. I hope to see you there.
